Candidates who have already registered for the examination and want to make changes to their application forms must complete the process by 11:50 pm.According to the official notice, the correction facility opened on November 2 and will remain available until November 4, 2026. Candidates can visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, to check their application details and make corrections in the permitted fields.

The agency has advised candidates to review their application forms carefully before submitting the corrected details. No further opportunity to make changes will be provided after the correction window closes.
UGC NET December 2026 : Which fields can candidates edit?
As per the NTA’s guidelines, candidates will be allowed to make changes to the following details:
- Candidate name, father’s name or mother’s name: Candidates can make corrections to any one of these three fields.
- Examination city selection: Candidates can change their examination city preferences based on their permanent and present addresses. However, the NTA is not bound to allot a city according to the candidate’s preference.
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): This can be changed if it has not been verified through the Unique Disability ID (UDID) portal.
- Subject
Which details cannot be changed?
The NTA has also clarified that candidates will not be allowed to make changes to the following details:
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Permanent and present address
- Uploaded photograph
- Uploaded signature
